History and Social Development: Founded in 1984, the Leventis Municipal Museum presents the history and social development of Nicosia from the Chalcolithic period (3000 BC) to the present day. It’s named after its donor, the Anastasios G. Leventis Foundation, which bought and restored the building. The museum is administered by the Municipality of Nicosia2.
